Rafi, last night my wife and I donated some money to your family so that you can feel better. I have 2 nieces, a nephew and another soon-to-be little nephew in my life so I know how precious little ones are. Your story touched us very much and we want you to know how important you are to the world and how loved you are. Please know that we are praying for you each day so that you continue to grow stronger and healthier.

I would love to try and get a run going here in Ohio to help with this. Please let me know if would like to expand to other states. I know there are people here who would help but can’t get to New York. We might be one of the poorer states but because of this we are always more than excited to help others when we can. Let me know what we can do. ~Esther Murray~

I was brought to tears by seeing this little girl’s story. I’d love to make a donation. However, I would like to be certain that what I donate goes directly to Rafi’s family. Is there any way that I could possibly do that? Thank you, Linda

I have read so much lately about people healing from all sorts of illnesses, including awful autoimmune conditions, on a paleo diet. It is definitely worth looking into. Not easy, of course, but nothing about this disease looks easy. Praying for Rafi and others affected by this.

Hi there- read about you all in the NY times. What a great thing you are all doing.
I do public health research at Johns Hopkins- in the article they talked about the difficulty bathing because of pain. It reminded me of research on pain reduction I have seen reported for burn patients. They use it when they change the dressings. I am pasting the link to that here- hoping you can communicate with the family if you all think appropriate.

Thanks for doing your good work. It was nice to read about.

I saw an article on the homepage of CNN about Rafi just now. I sincerely hope more research can be done to find a cure for her and everyone else who has this disease. I think the community that began raising money for this research is absolutely inspiring and this is definitely a cause worth working for!
